The VoiceAds service in Pakistan is special in many ways: It has the right audience [multi-language, 64% illiteracy], with the right size [111M Mobile Users]. It is marketed by great commercial partners, eagerly wanted by Media Agencies and Advertisers, and promoted by an outstanding Mobile Operator.

Plus, with half of the incoming calls coming from other Mobile Operators, VoiceAds will kick-off with nationwide reach. From day 1.

Products: VoiceAds® RBT
You know VoiceAds. You know Ringback Tones. Now join both: That's VoiceAds RBT.
VoiceAds RBT replaces the Subscriber's calling parties ringback tone with an unintrusive radio-like advertisement. But it doesn't stop there. VoiceAds RBT also contains a set of features, from behavioral targeting to profile tagging and social networks' integration just to make sure that each ad is rightly targeted.

VoiceAds RBT also gives Operators an easy entry to Adfortel services. As many Operators already have a Ringback Tone system, pluggin' in Adfortel's platform can be a short path to an extended revenue source.

Reach, Targeting and Profiling, Measurable Conversion and Effective Costs. If you want to hit all of these in Pakistan there is only one way: The Mobile way.
Pakistan is a very big and diverse country. Several languages and dialects are spoken, significant populations live in far-reaching areas while many other millions commute in huge metropoles where the media "noise" is so big that is actually difficult to reach anyone efficiently.
But in Pakistan, independentely of gender, age, literacy level, location or social group, everyone has a mobile phone. That well profiled, audio enabled, interactive and always reachable mobile phone, will play a VoiceAd. On the next call.

Adfortel launches unique mobile advertising service with Yesss! in Austria

Rotterdam/Vienna, June 2011. Adfortel and Orange Austria’s low cost mobile operator brand Yesss!, launch a new and unique advertising service of which new and existing subscribers can benefit from by listening to short radio-like audio commercials (VoiceAds) and select their own favorite call waiting music (TuneAds).

The service is marketed with a new tariff named Yesss Laudaah! and is a unique combination of Adfortel’s two services: VoiceAds and TuneAds. Subscribers to the service receive a maximum of two VoiceAds per day during the call waiting period when making outgoing calls; during the call waiting period of the other outgoing calls,  the subscribers’ favorite songs can be played. As an incentive subscribers receive the hit single Laudaah of the Austrian musicians The Trackshittazs for free, which will be set as  their first TuneAd.

The Laudaah tariff offers 2000 units to be used for calls, SMS and data for EUR 9,- both prepaid and postpaid. This is currently Austria’s best offer in the market.

VoiceAds are audio commercials that replace the standard call waiting tone during the waiting period for connecting a call; TuneAds replace the standard call waiting tone with music. Both services are A-party based which means they are targeted at the subscriber, i.e. the callers. Subscribers who opt in for the Laudaah! tariff are rewarded with the new low tariff that Yesss! offers and receive one song for free .

“With the introduction of our new Laudaah! tariff and the offering of VoiceAds and TuneAds in return Yesss! is able to monetize the call waiting period, unlocking a new revenue stream and the addition of new consumers to our base. We strongly believe in mobile advertising and music services as a means of generating new revenues.”, says Markus Cserjan, General Manager of Yesss!

“With VoiceAds advertisers can benefit from multiple daily direct contact moments and massive reach, with the possibility to precisely target subscriber profiles through a totally handset-independent advertsing format. The close cooperation with our reseller Sonorys has resulted in the introduction of VoiceAds and TuneAds with Yesss! in Austria. The Yesss Laudaah tariff  is aimed at creating a new and successful concept for all parties involved based on the key elements of musical fun, advertising value and lower rates” , says Igor Hendriksen, Managing Director of Adfortel.

Adfortel in the Cloud(s) with new version of VoiceAds Engine Campaign Manager
Sunday, May 01, 2011, 17:10h
Created by: Adfortel

Rotterdam, May 2011. Adfortel, developer of mobile advertising solutions, has redeveloped its VoiceAds Campaign Manager and made it suitable for hosted solutions.

The primary function of the VoiceAds Engine Campaign Manager is the replacement of the standard waiting tone (…toot…toot…) by a VoiceAd. This happens during the period that the call is being ‘built up’. As soon as the person who has been called picks up the phone, the call will start.

The Campaign Manager most important goal is to ensure that the right target group is reached at the right time. It has been developed with that goal in mind and can perform various functions, such as planning, profiling and reporting.

For mobile operators to be able to use the VoiceAds Engine an integration in the core network is necessary. This usually takes some time and can be causing delays in the go to market time.

"This happens so often that we decided not to take the same road," says Jorge Martins CTO of Adfortel. "That's why when we rolled out the 3rd installment of our VoiceAd Engine and decided to address this by moving to an hosted scenario which enables us to offer our VoiceAds Engine service to mobile operators without the need to have a full integration within the operators core network”.

Moving services that would naturally be inside the operator's network creates new challenges, as data volume can be overwhelming.

"That is what we understood and prepared for and we have a system that handles over 80 million subscribers on its base configuration. That is already the sum of several operators subscriber bases and we are readying to expand it soon."

Apart from this revolutionary approach for offering mobile advertising services to operators the VoiceAds campaign Manager is also optimized to serve Media Agencies and their advertisers as it has now self learning capabilities based on the feedback of the mobile network. Depending of the calling behavior of the subscribers the system is capable of making decisions by itself and adapt running campaigns to make sure target groups are served optimally and each agency impression and budget goals are guaranteed.

“We strongly believe this new version will strengthen our proposition as we are now able to offer operators not only a innovative A-sided VAS service but also eliminated a large portion of the needed integration time and therefore shortened the go to market time significantly” says Jorge Martins.

ADFORTEL EXTENDS DUTCH MOBILE ADVERTISING PATENT
Monday, February 02, 2009, 17:54h
Created by: Adfortel

Rotterdam (Netherlands), February 2, 2009 — Adfortel, a mobile advertising service and technology provider, has received a Dutch patent for its mobile advertising solution VoiceAds. Adfortel, a Payter Holding company, has now submitted an international patent application for its VoiceAd Engine. This technology offers operators and advertisers an audio based, handset independent mobile advertising channel and offers massive consumer reach with targeted direct consumer contact moments.

VoiceAds, managed by Adfortel’s VoiceAds Engine, are audio commercials played during the call waiting time. On average 15 seconds of, currently unused, call waiting time can now be used as advertising airtime. As such, this airtime offers multiple daily direct contact moments and massive reach for advertisers, with the possibility to target specific groups of users based on their user profiles.

Extensive market feedback and independent research has shown that this type of advertising is highly effective and that over a third of all mobile consumers is willing to opt-in as a subscriber. Key characteristics of this type of advertising are the non-intrusive character since consumers opt in, content relevance due to the availability of consumer profile information, no waste of advertising spend, forced exposure due to call waiting and handset independency.

Adfortel has worked closely with US patent firm Howrey in submitting the patent application, which now protects the use of this new advertising method in over 140 countries. Adfortel’s VoiceAds Engine can be offered to mobile, fixed, VOIP or virtual operators and subscribers alike. Adfortel is currently in talks with various telcos and advertising agencies worldwide to introduce the new concept on a commercial scale.

“Traditional ringback tones took the concept of making use of the call waiting time one step further,” said Igor Hendriksen, Adfortel’s managing director.  “We were triggered to develop the service one step further into a mobile advertising solution, based on voice still being the killer application. Our in-network service is an attractive offering for global operators who want to continue to grow market share. The solution’s capabilities enable a speedy deployment and a fast return on investment.”

Adfortel will showcase its VoiceAds Engine during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 16-19 in hall 2, booth-number 2C54, co-exhibiting with its technology partner Dialogic.

MARKET RESEARCH BY BLAUW RESEARCH
Thursday, May 01, 2008, 16:45h
Created by: Adfortel

Blauw Research has conducted research into the potential of VoiceAds. The research was carried out amongst 1,000 respondents.
Conclusions As many as 30% of all mobile phone users (between 16 and 70 years of age) stated that they would 'probably to certainly' give their consent to the provider to play advertising messages which were in line with their interests, in exchange for an incentive. Another 17% stated that they would consider this. In total, therefore, a little more than half of all respondents were not negative about the service, as long as there was an incentive for it. A third of the respondents were even positive about the service.
Of those interested individuals, 36% expected that they 'probably to certainly' would make more phone calls should they utilise sponsored calling.
12% of the 30% of callers that would certainly/probably give consent should there be an incentive, would even be prepared to change over to another provider. Almost half of this group of respondents would consider this.
A reduction on the mobile phone bill or additional calling minutes were the most interesting forms of incentive.
